A Sermon Podcast Workflow One Person Can Maintain
From board feed to published episode in twenty minutes, with the tools we actually kept.

Most church podcasts die in month five, when the person who set it up gets busy. The fix is not enthusiasm. It is removing steps.
If the sermon prep upstream of the recording is the bottleneck, see the pastor who built the tool he wished he had.
The twenty-minute loop
- Record a dedicated podcast mix from the board, not the room mic.
- Drop the file into a watched folder that auto-levels and tags it.
- Trim the head and tail once. Do not edit the middle.
- Publish with a three-sentence description and one scripture reference.
What we cut
Intro music, guest interviews, multi-track editing and custom episode artwork. Every one of them added time without adding listeners in the eight congregations we followed.
Consistency outperforms production value by a wide margin.
